what to expect when you come to our meetings
We are a spiritfilled church, excited about the promises God has to offer.
SUNDAY COMMUNION MEETING
You will hear real stories, which we refer to as testimonies, about how the local people in our fellowship have come to know God; their life before and after they were filled with God’s Holy Spirit.
You will hear a talk; direction and encouragement from the word of God. We encourage you to read along in the scriptures from your own bible.
We will partake of the “bread and the cup”, a symbolic representation of Jesus broken body and the blood he spilt when he was crucified for the remission of our sins. 1st Corinthians 11: 24-26
You will hear the operation of the voice gifts of the spirit, as laid out in the bible in 1st Corinthians 14..
You will have an opportunity to have prayer for your needs and so that you too can be experience the gift of the Holy Ghost.
You can be baptised by full immersion as Jesus did
You will hear songs of praise to God. We are not professional musicians, but we “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”- Psalm 98:4
..and you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and afternoon tea with us after.
wednesday REVIVAL MEETINGs
Our revival meetings operate as our communion meeting without the taking of the bread and cup. You will still hear real stores, direction and encouragement from Gods word, have an opportunity to pray and be baptised and sing praises to God…and you can still enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and supper with us afterwards.
YOUNGIES
Our “Young People” (Teens and early 20’s) get together every fortnight to spend time having fun and diving in a little deeper into the word of God. Activities range from low key food and fellowship nights, to entertaining sports days and themed evenings.
Geelong Fellowship
