God’s Power experienced by local people

I grew up in a traditional religion but never experienced the presence of God there. It was full of traditions and systems and repetitive words and prayers.
I suffered terribly from depression and anxiety and even after many years of medications and counselling, I did not imporve. When I was told the whole truth about why Jesus came to live on earth, I fully embraced this good news. When I was baptised by full immersion and received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in toungues, a language I had never learnt before, the Lord replaced the depresssion and anxiety with joy and hope that I could never receive in the world.
I praise God every day for what He has done for me and couldn’t imagine my life without Him.

I heard the gospel message when I was 15 years old. At the time I was drinking quite heavily and experimenting with drugs. Trying these things did not fill the emptiness in my soul. when I heard how God could change my life by filling me with his Holy Spirit I was curious and decided to ask Gof for it. I felt very humbled asking Him, but also knew if I didn’t ask I would not know him personally, So I was baptised first as Jesus was baptised as an example for us all and I spoke in tongues as evidence of having the Holy Ghose dwell inside me. It was a delight to know that I was now part of God’s plan and family and in his keeping. The Lord gave me a peace and direction which gave me such a reassurance for the future. My life has been blessed in every way, and I thank the Lord for His mercy and Grace.

I would like to share a snippet of my life with you.
Early on I grew up with a strong fear of death as a result of my grandmother dying of cancer when I was 12 years old. This event impacted me deeply, as it made me aware of the foreboding reality that I was going to die one day, and I had so many unanswered questions about the meaning of my life. This concern shadowed my life so much so that I called out to God for an answer. Praise the Lord that an answer came. Someone told me about the Gospel of Christ; That Jesus had died and risen from death to give me eternal life. I was in awe as I found God’s word offered me a tangible experience to deal with all my doubts and questions. This led me to take action on what I heard; (Acts 2:38) I was baptised in obedience to God’s Word and called out to God in faith and received God’s Holy Spirit, with the miraculous sign of speaking in other tongues. This amazing born again experience totally freed me from my fear of death & anxieties. In Jesus Christ I now have the solid foundation I didn’t have before. The very personal reality of having God’s presence with me continues to bring me comfort and fulfillment. Praise the Lord, this is my story of God’s grace to me.

In 2021, a school friend witnessed to me and showed me the true gospel and what a life with The Lord could look like. After years of feeling alone, hopeless and anxious following a family breakdown. I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues and was baptised by full immersion and I began building a life grounded in The Lord and overcame many onging challenges.
Over the past few years, I have been blessed in my studies, work and family life and recently married my husband with our foundation grounded in God. My greatest blessing has been finding a place within the Fellowship where I can serve both others and The Lord, while walking alongside my spiritual family. Every day, I am amazed by what the Lord can do and how His plan is always greater than I could imagine.

After walking away from God as a teen, I found myself looking at the world and how corrupted and dark it was. I made the decision to get serious with my walk with The Lord and follow Jesus. Ever since He has completely changed my hear and I am a new creation just as it is described in the Bible. He has given me so many blessing since and my relationship with Him has grown and deepended in ways I never knew possible before I committed to walking with Him.
